Propagation of the disease

Fire Blight is dangerous disease since Erwinia amylovora can propagate very easy. The inoculum can come from propagating material in the nurseries, non-sterilized cutting tools regarding the human action. In the nature the inoculum can come from vectors like insects, aerosols transported by the wind. In addition the bacteria can survive at least 30 days on the surface of the plants and it can stay inside the host plant at least for a year.
